A Happy Camper

I have been using Chronical for a while and I find it very very helpful. The newest version with iCloud sync now gives me the ability to use the App on my iPad and have it fully sync to the App on my Mac.

Simple, Intuitive, Efficient!

Downloaded and up and running in minutes. I like that this app does not try to do everything, just does the bill reminder function really well. I like the icons, I like the calendar, the budget stuff is not so important, but nice I am sure for those who want to keep track This is my first month using the app. It will be interesting to see how it functions over time, but for the moment, I think it serves my purposes nicely. Recommended.

SYNC Frozen on Mac - Again.

Using Dropbox to Snyc between Iphone 6 and MacbookAir. The Mac app just stays frozen on he sync status bar. This is a know problem since its on their troubleshooting page, and the workaround does not fix it.

Sweet Spot

What I like best: Seamless sync—iCloud calendar and iPhone/MacBook. This tool really hits a sweet spot for me. I had recently compiled all of my recurring payments in Excel. My eventual plan was to master whatever functionality was in Quicken Premier—as I’d already shelled out for it—as well as create individual alerts in Apple Calendar. Of course, the busier you are, the more you need reminders, but the less time you have to set them all up. I discovered Chronicle at the perfect time. I loaded all my recurring payments with their specific dates, and everything synced up immediately. While avoiding late fees and delinquency marks are essential basics, Chronicle is still indispensible at the next level: building your credit and stockpiling rewards points. I autopay as much as I can through credit cards, but I clear my balance more than once a month to keep my percent utilization low. With different bills on different schedules, Chronicle helps me anticipate my spending at any point in the month. This app is absolutely worth it! One more thing: I had an issue (my fault) where I wrote to the support address and got an instant, correct response. On top of being a great app, the support staff is on point, too.

What I needed.

I was looking for a bill tracker that will smoothly, unobtrusively, simply keep track of things for me. Including the expenses billed yearly that I always forget about. This has worked very well for me. The only thing I would like is more icons, specifically, motorcycles in various types and colors, motorscooters in various colors, cars and trucks in various colors. But, really, it works well and I’m glad I bought it.

Very impressed

I purchased this app a week ago for my computer and my iphone/ipad. I know I have a bill coming online in a few months and wanted to get a better handle on what I was paying now to find out where I could cut and save. I am very impressed so far because I can quickly look at the app on my phone or my computer and see what is due when. I am pretty excited because all of my November bills are paid, I recorded each payment in the app, and now I can start focusing on December bills. I am using this in conjunction with Pennies which I downloaded for free through the Starbucks app, the two work well together. I am not sure if I would want a single app that could perform both actions, that might be too much for me.

Chronicle Recovered !

Chronicle didnt crash the people at littleFin are great they took care of the issue very promply and Im up and running did not lose any data. I love this app. I just puchased the cell phone app. Thank You LittleFin

One of my Must Have apps

There are a handful of apps that I consider “must have” - 1Password, Launchbar and one or two more. Add Chronicle to the list. It does exactly what it says it does. It is easy and straight-forward to use. The customer service is 2nd to none. The rare ocassion that I’ve had a question or issue, Mike has responded extremely quick. I originally purchased this several years ago, from the developer’s website and then added the iPad/iPhone app as well. I just now purchased the Appstore version for iCloud sync. Grab this app, you won’t be sorry.

Perfect- Simple, Easy and Effective

I feel like this is the bill management app I have always wanted but could never really find. Any other app I’ve ever tried just wasn’t what I was looking for- they seem to all be unnecessarily complicated, and include too many other things. This app is exclusively for keeping track of bills. Well worth the money and I definitely recommend it.

BEST IN CLASS

Chronicle is the best bill reminder app on the app store. Enough said.

Too bad you have to purchase iPhone version in addition

Just bought this app -what good is if it it syncs if I have to buy two versions. Pretty pricey for an app. Hope it’s worth it.

Simple and Useful

Very simple and useful. It’s great to see trends every month on your billing.

Love it!

been looking for a bill pay app that does exactly this and syncs on mac and iPhone! Perfect!

Best App for Bill and Income Tracking I’ve Ever Used

I highly recommend this app. I bought this applicaion for all platforms including iMac, Macbook Pro, iPad, and iPhone. While a few features vary slightly, they are integrated well. I receive notificions before a bill is due. I am able to save website and account information in each bill’s profile. I do many things for income, so I am able to log my daily earnings and have a perfect reflection of how much income I generate per month. Very intuitive and simple to use.

Great App for Bill Tracking

This app is nearly perfect! The one feature I would love to see, which would make this SO much more useful is “Bills due before next payday” if the Income Management feature is enabled. If this was included, it would make cash flow management so much easier. PLEASE ADD IT!

By Far, One of my Most Used Apps!

Chronicle is beautiful to look at and simple to setup and use. It makes tracking and paying bills so much easier and really does help in the budgeting process. I use the Osx and iOS versions and couldn’t imagine not having this app on my devices! The one thing I wish would be added is the feature to better view notes associated with individual payments and the ability to print reports from bills like a detailed listing of payments, dates, notes, etc, a summary of how much was paid for each bill over the years. These would be nice additions. LittleFin, keep up the great work!!!

Priceless Peace of Mind! You won’t regret this purchase.

Even though I use Quicken I found myself unsure as to whether some bills were paid. With an overwhelming number of bills with due dates staggered throughout the month, some on autopay, some mail, some manual online, Chronicle has given me peace of mind with daily tracking and reminders of what is due, paid, and what’s coming up. If you are awake at 4 a.m. worring about whether you paid a bill, this purchase is priceless. Highly recommend!!

Loved it, but not as reliable in recent years

I’ve used Chronicle for years as it has been truly fantastic in keeping me on track with my monthly, quarterly, biannual, annual, etc expenses. However, I have experienced difficulty with Chronicle syncing between devices, using the wrong calendar(s) for reminders, even creating numerous reminders for the same bill(s). As I work in marketing in the industry (cannot state the name but let’s assume it’s a fruit), I’m well familiar with the machinations involved in syncing data and all my iOS and OS X systems are using current versions. I’ve used “Dropbox” to sync Chronicle between a current gen 27” 5K iMac and new Mac Pro, iPhone 6s’s, and two iPad Air 2’s. I’ve approved “Dropbox” access on all the devices, made certain syncing is active, and that the proper calendar is selected on each Mac in Chronicle. That stated, many times Chronicle decides to switch which calendar to sync in OS X/iOS Calendar, even though neither systems or iDevices have been changed nor calendars deleted or modified. Additionally, for some bills/credit cards that have a standard monthly revolving credit plan yet may not always have a balance, unless you select a billing cycle it defaults to the year 2040. Thus I’ve had Chronicle add duplicates, triplicates, etc for the same bills in three-four different calendars on all my devices. December 31st, 2040 had over 500 reminders. It required a few hours for me to delete each one individually as it overloaded my iCloud (@me.com) account. Once done, Calendars worked without a problem. Yet this problem persists. No changes are made, all devices are up to date, Chronicle is approved to use Dropbox on every device being synced, and my “Financial” calendar in Chronicle has always been the default calendar selected on all the devices being synced. I logged out of Chronicle on all but one device, reset data on all the others, and went through each bill on one system to ensure each one is properly configured. Once done, I’ve added each device one at a time until all were syncing. A few days later, it happens again. I’ve also noticed the Chronicle app for iOS doesn’t sync in the background. Background refresh in on as well as cellular data, meaning nothing on my iPhones or iPads should keep it from updating whether the app is open or not. I even tried moving to iCloud syncing, activating Chronicle for iCloud Drive on all my devices. This only made matters worse. I even resorted to deleting all data on all my devices, making certain preference files in ~/Library and /Library folders were deleted and no traces of “Chronicle” existed anywhere aside from my Dropbox. Once done, I began with my Mac Pro and added each device one at a time. Still, didn’t work. I’ve been using Chronicle for years and have sworn by it, often recommending it to friends and family. However, these issues have become increasingly difficult. I’ve read through online support, yet most of the information from “Little Fin LLC” is outdated. I was struck to read help that references “iCal” and “iCal Reminders”, which has been “Calendar” for OS X for a while and “Reminders” is now a fully featured, separate OS X core app. I’m researching alternatives as I cannot allow my financial responsibilities to be managed by an application that seems to be neglected by the developer in recent years (July 1st, 2015 being the most recent update is disappointing). Hope others fare better.

Perfect App for keeping my Bills Organized!

I’ve been using this app for nearly four years and it is absolutely perfect! It focuses on one thing: organizing, and reminding me of, all my bills - and it couldn’t be better! I recently had a question about a feature and received a very timely, helpful reply! I wish all apps were this good!
